What DOES ACTIVISM LOOK LIKE FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS?

The Challenge: Through the lens of a documentary film, inspire the next generation to take activism into their own hands at any age and begin to be a part of the solution to protect the world they are inheriting in the future.

The Solution: Endangered Activism follows a 13 year old girl as she travels the world over the course of one year and tries to understand the challenges of wildlife conservation at her own pace, in her own words. All interviews to biologists, conservationists, artists, and others are all done entirely by her, while she grasps the magnitude of the issues in order to inspire her generation to push forward and continue this vital fight in new and exciting ways.

Executive Director: Shannon Galpin
Shannon Galpin is an author, artist, global women’s rights activist, film producer, and a National Geographic Adventurer of the Year. She spent a decade working on humanitarian projects in Afghanistan and in 2009 became the first woman to mountain bike there, eventually leading her to help coach and train the first Afghan National Women’s Cycling Team which was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was awarded a honorary diploma by the International Olympic Committee and is a Fellow of the Explorer’s Club. Above all else, Shannon is a mother, and she’s determined to raise her daughter to use her voice for those that don’t have one.

Shannon is also the mother of Devon Galpin, the 13 year old on a journey through wildlife conservation.
